Reports of ageism have gone up massively since covid changed "normal life" for everyone. And we see how age discrimination effects people everyday in this community.
That's why I want to take this moment to celebrate the Jobcase community - and these 2 success stories:
@Dinah Junek "I'm sure there are places that don't hire older ones. You know what I say it's their loss!! Keep trying #advice"
Connect with Dinah at this post@Stephen Blette just landed a job with Aflac and said, "our work ethic it’s better than these millennials and gen zee"
Say hi to Steven on his post here

Thank you for sharing. I'm 65 and looking for a new job (I want to move to a new area). I'm not ready to retire, my brain is just fine, and I'm a reliable and loyal worker.

Wow, thanks for sharing these stories. Way to go @Dinah Junek and @Stephen Blette !

You’re my hero 🤩

Yes, if they would just work a little more and get off of their phones, they might gain some respect. Until then, I'm going to keep working as hard as I can and I'm 51. I think as you said it's a company's loss. These companies will figure it out soon enough after we retire. I honestly think that this will be the last generation (gen X) that will truly have a good work ethic. Thank God my mom taught me how to work hard for a living and so far that's worked out real well for me. Plus, you cannot replace experience and knowledge.

I'm 54 and unfortunately for me have don't care what people think of me. I was in an interview where the HR lady was to the question about my weaknesses. I told he I believed my biggest weakness is my honesty.. she replied that she doesn't consider honesty as a weakness... I then replied, I don't give a fuck what you think.... didn't get that job 😕

nice to see the bright side sometimes

well done!

❤️✌🏼❤️
I think we're old enough to remember "Logan's Run." People were not allowed to live beyond the age of 30.
