Could you be a real estate agent?

At first glance, becoming a real estate agent can seem intimidating. And while it’s true that becoming successful in this field requires a lot of work, it can also be a fulfilling and lucrative career for those who enjoy working with people.

What does a day in the life of a real estate agent look like? What can you expect your daily routine to be?

To be a real estate agent you have to work under a broker for two years, everything is under on demand basis which means what comes available you have to snatch or you go without pay. Furthermore this field is in fact lucrative but require a lot of work on your end to make it work. It’s 63 hrs course you have to take in order to get your license and there is a state test that you must take in order to be a real estate agent. It is in your best interest to some research I did my real estate course with Watson and paid 300 up front for books and more. Study hard the only thing that I would say makes it intimidating is the fact that you have to pass a test before you enter real estate.

I’ve retired from the real estate industry — 38 years. Be prepared for income fluctuations. Many sales will not close through no fault of yours. Works well if one person in a household has a steady income. That can really lesson the pressure.

Possibly I am interested in real estate even took the test but ALL my experience with agents has turned me off because they are all greedy and only care about money in their pocket. I do not want to be like that

They work off commission. My one friend sold 2 houses 2 months ago, still no payment. They have alot of dues to pay to stay an agent.

I don't think so. I don't think it's smart to meet strangers in an empty house. Maybe I watch to many TV shows.

No ,I get frustrated by people's lack of imagination. Example, they walk into a room and don't like the paint, they leave not considering the room can be any color they want! Ford

Don't do it!! Unless you have enough savings to even begin with a career, and I'm not sure about other states but Nevada requires 90 hours of school, I would have never done this but in order to get my "Property Manager" license I had to be a Realtor first. And it costs soooo much to keep your license going. So yeah if you have the time & the big bucks to pay yourself for about a year or more to succeed at this career. I did it for 3 years but if I wasn't a property manager also I would have been BROKE!!
