Should I leave my part-time job?

Hello, Should I stay or leave?? I have been working for D D’s Discounts for over 5 years now part-time Associate. I was wondering should I look for a better paying part-time job with Medical? I’m not sure I’m capable to handle office work?! I might try being a Customer Service Representative? But I feel I get steady work each week and my employees are good. Especially it’s the holidays coming up and I don’t want to look for another job to soon. Should I settle or try looking for a better paying job? Please pray for me.

Listen to your intuition. If you want to do something else just be sure that's what you want. Look for another job while you still have this one.

Don't leave until you find something better. It sounds like your part-time job is pretty permanent. Almost all full- and part-time jobs these days are temporary. Don't give up your job unless you are 100% sure your new position is also permanent. Good luck.

you won't find something part time with benefits. and fyi 80% of the customer service jobs on here are actually sales jobs that are commission based

Perfectly OK to be looking for a better job; Keep your present job and investigate other possibilities in your free time. Make sure you update your resume with everything you have done.

You might try office work and see if you like it; A Customer Service Rep would also be a good choice.

One note on CSRs: there are quite a few online jobs for CSRs if that interests you. That wouldn't include medical coverage of course so that would be a consideration, but it would bring in some extra money.

Good luck and I am certain you will do well!

Leslie, it never hurts to keep searching for something better, there is nothing wrong in that, we all want something better ..!" Question is," what is it," You,"really want to do..?" I Know Right..! For now, hold onto the job you have now..! Maybe, try and express to your present employer, that you would like to discuss, maybe adding to the benefit package you have now," and see how far their willing to go to keep you," at the least, then you,ll know where you stand and it will give you a better idea as to what you really need to do for yourself and your future as far as jobs are concerned..Good Luck Leslie..! :}

We always think it's greener on the other-side. That's not true on most cases.

My suggestion. Stay where you are. You love the job and you like the people you work with. However, it's important that you continue up the ladder. Staying where you are doesn't mean staying put. Find something within DD's that's a little bit higher up from where you are. This way you are using your experience in the next position and possibility better pay and benefits too.

Good Luck in your future endeavors!

How do you pay all your own bills by only working PT? Do you get welfare and other govt assistance?
