What is a do-not-rehire list (or #blacklist)?

Many employers use a do-not-rehire list to flag job applicants to human resources, hiring managers, and recruiters. The do-not-rehire list prevents these former employees from being rehired at the company.

Why do people get blacklisted? One reason is failing to give two weeks notice when resigning can land you on a blacklist. Some employers are 'strict' about having at least a full 14 days notice; and giving them 13 days may result in your name being added to their do-not-rehire list.

Learn more about the do-not-rehire list, including strategies to find out if you are blacklisted. #jobsearch #nextjob

All of my jobs and exp can be applied to the job offered.

See a blacklisted should be condemned as a racist term. The term is offensive to everyone. The term originated towards people of color. It should be labeled as a racial slur. I'm white. So am I whited out. It should be illegal to interfere with anyone's career. It's just another term to destroy another's life and career. To include Black and white people they have a grudge against. It will continue to carry on in the English language. What a shame. It just shows how far employer's will go to defimate another's character. They are children in the yard picking and labeling everyone. Like duck duck goose. We're the geese that fight back. There the ducks quaking there bullshit as they fly away.

People don’t quit their jobs they quit the management. If a company has a high rate of turnovers then you should be looking at the failure of management not the workers..Just saying.

I was blacklisted in my hometown as well. In fact very recently just this past summer. I couldn't get anyone to hire me. No sooner would I put my resume in that I would get the automated response of " if we feel you are a match...." and this would be on positions that before I was blacklisted, did not have that automated response. So I moved. It's the only way to stop it.

I was on the list too. Wherever I go, there are so many cut throats that you may never think are. These days, who can you trust and how can you work as a team? Think I'm gonna ask that question when I get a job. I think being patient and give it time to find out who your real friends are.

Paul, Yes, I killed 3 nuns in the early 70's, and I just got out of the same prison that houses that Peterson guy.
