Hang in there. There will be employers who would hire you. Most people who are making those decisions haven't been caught for all the criminal acts they have done. Stay with it and don't give up. Prove it to yourself. Stay determined..

If whatever you were convicted of causes companies across the board not to hire you, you must have done something pretty serious. When you were convicted, did you draw hard time? Another strike against you. Were you convicted more than once? Strike three.

Kevin is absolutely right. Also, don't let anyone else tell you who you are (unless it's true or positive) or affect how you go on in life. Be confident in who you are and apply for any job you want. Don't give up, keep trying.

Most companies still hire regardless of Bckground checks… as long as it wasn’t “VIOLENT” n then again depending on the type of job your looking for. Stop allowing yourself to be shortchanged by takeing small paying jobs.. if u notice most jobs will ask for “ “Volunteered” info. Stop volunteering info. Make sure u understand. It’s against the law in some states to ask aboit criminal history. Do your research

Most employers won’t automatically disqualify you and will look at how long ago that happened. Be HONEST! Own it. They will know you were a different person back then. If they don’t, you don’t want to work there anyway

How long ago? Even gov doesn't go back further than 7 to 10 years and only disqualify for certain felonies.
