I live In Louisiana and I have reduced hours - because I make more than the $247 max allowed here they have given me nothing..... I make $300 a week which is not paying my bills. Yet the people who are not working at all get $847 a week..... How is this fair - can’t reach anyone at unemployment.... I am so mad that my hours have been cut - it would have been better to be unemployed as everyone is making more money!!!! #coronavirus #louisianaunemployment

Doesn't sound fair at all Kerrie. Not too much incentive for folks to go out and take on new jobs at the risk of earning less. Challenging situation!

This happened to me also. I made $9.00 too much and got nothing. Everyone else that worked go the $600 per week extra and then the ones that did not work at all got it. I did not miss any days and got screwed. I am beside myself.

Finally someone says the same thing as me. I am much confused on this. Like I’m not working due to this virus and can’t even get help for the time being. Six months pregnant and no income. It’s hard to work pregnant people don’t want to hire you this makes no sense

I had 3 part time jobs, single mom, needed every penny from all 3 jobs just to make ends meet. I lost 2 of my jobs( waitressing) and since I still have 1 job, I make $40 too much and cannot get unemployment... it’s so frustrating!! Should at least get partial unemployment!! Covid took my rent $ and utility $ away, but I am ineligible!!! The one job I have barely pays for groceries... my landlord was cool until now, He wants his rent, I don’t blame him!! But where am I going to get it???

Was laid off due to the virus and have been waiting almost 2 months for any type of payment. I finally talked to someone who said my claim was approved yet now the benefits were denied bc I had to start working a seasonal job that paid $20 more in gross one week than my weekly benefit. Cannot reach anyone to help answer questions and am beyond frustrated. How is it I ppl can get their nails done, eat in a restaurant, even go to the gym but the ONE place to help people with unemployment issues is closed?!?!
