The actual job is great. You’re out of the office, doing your work. My experience is the customers are generally very nice and happy to see the mailman. Management is terrible though. The office varies how bad management is, there’s some postmasters that just care about the work getting done correctly and not having to deal with customers because the mail carrier made a mistake. Then there’s the ones who micromanage and make the job miserable

@Tim Ryan I see that your experience with the job is like most of the members on Jobcase that really like their job but when they've got to deal with poor management or leadership it really takes away from their enjoyment. How were you able to handle these types of managers at the USPS?

I also noticed that you've filled out a little of your Jobcase profile. A filled out Jobcase profile will help with your career and job search. Filling out your Jobcase profile with a profile picture of you, a short bio and work history is a great start. As you fill out your profile we're able to better personalize your site experience, when you fill out your work history we're able to send you jobs that match your experience and with a personal profile picture on the site potential employers have a better chance of finding you. Also, a filled out profile on the site automatically creates a professional resume template that you can download and get a head start on creating your own.
