Great post and video! There are ever increasing opportunities for felons to gain employment and find resources to help meet their basic needs while seeking a job. Numerous organizations help by providing resource networking for grants, vocational training, housing and much more! With the passing of the Second Chance Act there are many industries now on board who are members of the Second Chance Business Coalition, have adopted the Ban the Box Act & have signed the Fair Chance Business Pledge. I encourage felons to apply in Hospitality which offers great opportunities for cross training and promotion. Truck Driving is also a great career opportunity & the industry is desperate for recruits and offer paid training and relocation packages. Reentry and Substance Abuse Counselors are needed nationwide and although it requires a minimum 2 yr AA, there are internship positions in some states where your on the job training meets the criteria for your certification. The options are improving all the time!
