This pizza chain got busted not paying it's employees overtime.
My first job ever was at a frozen yogurt shop and the owner didn't pay me. I quit after just a couple of days but never saw a dime for the work I did.

Worked for well known convenience store. They stressed importance of working only your scheduled hours to avoid going into full time hours. But we were required to work cash register until other person was on duty then I had to count my bank and receipts. Sometimes manager would take off for whatever for a few minutes so I had to take care of customers. Usually ended my shift 20 minutes over. I found out that managers were adjusting my hours , clocking me out earlier. After a heated discussion I put in 2 weeks notice. Manager said me staying to help out was being a good team member. But said Corporate didn't like us putting in extra time and expecting to get paid. Hmmm.
Yes I drove a concrete truck. We took 1/2 lunches and the company took out for 1 hr. lunches. After 2 years the company was forced to cash us out for the back pay. It was around 10hrs a month for 2 yrs at $20 hr. To cool we just all got together and it work

My first job was for a notorious cheap skate but even he paid me my salary. Paid me a little less than min wage but I was paid in cash as I was underage at the time working at the movie theater (and no it wasn't that type of theater; get your mind out of the gutter).

Yikes! Saying that someone isn't an employee so you can pocket their pay is horrible. I hope they have to shut down.
At my job in high school the manager couldn't keep his hands out of the tip jar. I think that was the worst seeing the money but not getting the money
same as you, i didn't get paid at my first job and I lost tips to. They take advantage of young people
We had one rotten server who wouldn't tip out the full amount. I can't say I cried when he left. I'm not a fan of dishonesty.
