Delivery Driver at Favor Runner

I have no choice... I'm a combat veteran, and have been trying to get my disability settled since 2006. I've been through many years of therapy, and two failed marriages. All through, I've been back and forth, reapplied and denied and denied... Through several suicide attempts, and dealing with the bad memories, bad memory of daily activity, nightmares, trying to be a good dad, failed husband... All I can do is keep trying to get the fuel money to see my kids every weekend, until I could get more of a stable home, fighting homelessness, and living out of my truck. I love being able to help others and offer anything I can for those in need. Delivery is a great way to help anyone I get to meet every day. There's no better way than seeing the happiness that comes from being able to get someone who can't go to the store, who is sick get their meds, someone who has a big family works and still tries to get food on the table, anyone who wants to try something new and help them see what's out there in the stores... There's nothing short of doing what I can til I can't... Every day is a new day to not give up. Always make the next moment better... From nothing and no way, a way is always made...

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us @Craig Ortega! I'm sorry there have been so many obstacles on top of Chronic Illness, and that you're unable to work out Disability to help! It sounds like you are incredibly hard working and have made it through so much already. I'm glad that doing Delivery work is accessible for you, and that you find so much satisfaction in providing folks with a hot meal! It's inspiring to hear your perspective, and I hope to learn more about your story in the future! Thank you for all that you've done and survived! 💜💙💚
