Hi I'm a working parent who just moved to New Jersey w/ my two teenage kids. I'm still looking for a new job and just signed up to drive Uber during this transition period. Would love to learn from any other drivers, what is the best time in a day to hit the road? My schedule is pretty flexible and just curious if there's any hacks in what time makes the most money or avoid traffic etc. that I should leaven about?

I've been driving w/ uber for years! I love driving during in peak hours whenever I can make some extra. I know it sounds stressful but somehow driving really clears my head and thoughts than working in restaurants or retails. Good luck finding your own pace and routine!

I just signed up two weeks ago for extra income. I primarily pick the late evening or early mornings to work around my current schedule. It's been great honestly. Those times don't have lots of traffic and I really enjoy it so far. BTW I'm sure you know that they have this $2,500 guarantee if you complete 200 rides in the first 30 days (https://www.uber.com/us/en/drive/). I was doubtful at the beginning but it is not as hard as I thought. Good luck and be safe driving!
