Time to be my own boss
After working for over 15 years in the service industry, I have finally gotten to the point where I am fed up with the status quote with employers.
I was laid off from my job back in July, and since then I have been working towards getting my Real estate license. I'm almost there actually, but something I've learned is that if you want something you have to go get it yourself. If no employer wants to take advantage of your skills and work ethic that's their problem not yours. If you find yourself in a position where no one wants to hire you, then it's time for you to hire yourself. Employers don't define you, you define you. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not good enough. Because they are not worth it. They're not worth your time. They're not worth your energy. You must take up all that is in within yourself and create something for yourself.
Most employers don't understand what what harm they are doing to this economy collectively. Each business runs its own show, but contribute to the same problem. They are mostly ignorant to this fact and I have yet to encounter an employer who understands the importance of accepting everyone.
I'm sure some of you reading this understand this quite clearly. Therefore now is the time to take action and start running your own show. Some of you could run a business 10 times better than some of the jerks that exist in the employment sector today. Yet, you can't penetrate the job market like you want to, because of ignorance greed selfishness and fear. You can't depend on the job market for your success anymore. You should depend on God and yourself and others of like-minded thought. You should be your own boss if you think things need to change and bring others with you.
In a couple of weeks I will have passed my real estate license exam. And I will be able to embark on my own journey. This is something I did on my own accord, with God's strength of course to which I cannot discount.
I encourage all of you to pick something that you're good. And begin working towards making that your life. God has given all of you a gift, and you may have to pray to find it. But once you find it it's like finding a treasure in the middle of the desert. Take that nugget of skill that you have and turn it into an Enterprise that will not only benefit you but thousands around you.
Case in point, don't depend on employers for your success. You are your own boss and are in charge of your success not them. Godspeed
