Send rejection emails. stop making candidates wait when you're not picking them.
A "no" is better than no response.
People reach out to me all the time, Saying they're in the hiring process for several companies.
The truth is that they probably aren't.
Their application status has said "pending" for weeks. No one replied after their first interview.
While the company may be moving slowly, The company might not be moving forward with them at all.
I am a manufacturing expert and have been asked to teach. you guys have real complaints, and concerns. Every situation is different and I would only recommend do the best you can, get the best references, and know the right people. employers have the upper hand. without typing an encyclopedia ask me and I will help if I can.
Hi I'm looking for work in Canada 🇨🇦
Ok People understand this, if the job is a good job with good benefits and a good salary, chances are that those company's received over 20 or more applications for this particular job, and if they found three to five really top candidates in the stack they will not even look at the rest, the law of average they rest go in the round file, not that this is bad it's just statistics, so you need to have a good resume that catches their attention right off the bat because most companies have what's called an ARS, (Automatic Resume Scanner) that is looking for keywords and phrases and if you do not have that upfront then you are probably not going to get the interview.
When you haven’t heard back after 15 business days, assume the employer is not interested
Thank you very much I agree100% finding a job in today's world is a waste of time because everything is online. I've been looking for a month. I do have a mortgage payment coming soon. This is very frustrating
I contacted Richard Blumenthal's office and let them know that the age discrimination law hurts the older people because we don't even have a chance to argue our defense. It is all sad and understand where you are coming from.
You are so right. Benn having interviews for tha last 6 montes and only once I received an answer. If we have the "courtesy" of going to the interview, they should have the courtesy of notifying our status.
You're preaching to the choir! Having been on both sides of the hiring table, I always kept candidates current and that included letting them know if they were no longer under consideration so they could get on with their quest.
Agreed! We all need closures!
