How long can a letter of recommendation from a previous employer be considered reliable? I have 2 letters that are over 15 years old.

Avoid getting in the wrong job just for a paycheck. Find something that really aligns with your talents and interest. Start by calling those who have been doing it for ten years and ASK to meet for a cup of coffee. People like to share what they know. Do NOT ask them for a job. You just want to know the pros and cons of it all. You will get great honesty...and perhaps some referrals. Be grateful !

Like the empty sky: no boundaries. But it is right here, profound and clear.

Start with volunteer work. Find your passion what feeds your soul then pursue what makes you happy. Go out. Meet people. Job and work are two different soldiers. Job will feed you, but work will carry you and never leave you empty in a battle.

It depends on if you are paying rent, house payment, utilities, Insurance, etc. In that circumstance for a first time worker in their lifetime I think 15 hour would be appropriate. Considering they know how much they need to make to do it on their own. Although, when you have been in the working system 30 years + I think 20+ is fair including benefits.

Apply with a resume. And always apply with a covert letter if you can when applying with a resume. Also Zip Recruiter and indeed are good job sites for applying for jobs, and you can also post your resume on both job sites. Also ask your past or current bosses if you can use them as a reference before doing so if applying for future jobs. Also a letter of recommendation would work from one of your past or present employers stating why you are a good fit for the job you are applying for. Then when going for job interviews take a list of job interviews with you, along with a resume and cover letter and a letter of recommendation.
