I relocated from NY to GA, gave up my home, friends and family to accept a once in a life position (so I thought) only to be terminated 5 weeks later. I have actively looked for positions in the medical field; I am a certified medical assistant and phlebotomist. I have extensive front and back office experience as well as a law enforcement background (retired Corrections)... WHY WHY WHY can I not even get a response from a potential employer, no interviews, no interest at all!! I have sent at least 100 resumes and cover letters without any success. I am so despondent and I don't know what else to do. I suspect age may possibly have something to do with it but I just don't have any answers...can someone PLEASE enlighten me...I am so miserable here and returning toNY is a remote thought (I've rented my home out to a tenant) since I have no where to go and no funds to return..,,I desperately need help
Try to put in for a job at a local hospital or health clinic if you can. Ask for someone, not a stranger, that lived in the other state to come in contact with somebody that lived in the states in the south. They or persons should be able to locate someone else known in that region who relocated to the southeast.
We need to get you back in NY, Girl! Tough place-but I've never been out of work for longer than three months. Even us "older gals" can find something-!
Hi Jo,
I answered you and gave you some ideas let me know if you read it, there's also a lot of jobs for Ft. Bragg at WOMACK but I have to get the site for you try zip recruiter just don't upload your resume to their site or everyone will have it and flood your email. I'll look for the other link and let you know. Tammy
Don't let these mean people that don't have the privilege and blessing of knowing the Lord get you down. The first thing I thought about was a private duty sitter. If you work evenings or nights, you can look for a higher paying job on days. Child care is another possibility. I don't know how much they pay in GA.

I relocate to PA from ny. Still no one call me for a job
Hi Jo,
Zip recruiters constantly has jobs in your field listed, I see crime scene assistant needed everyday there along with phlebotomist. Check them out upload your resume with them they reach out to a lot of job sites to find what you need. Hope this helps, Tammy
Faith is what moves God. You can do all things through Christ which strengthen you.
Contact employers...show up and speak to employers on setting up and interview.Don't wait on them, bc you have to realize they have tons of resumes before you and ppl with little to more experience. Age is not a factor..its overwhelming looking at resumes all day..plus its who you know!
Hi Jo, I found this on zip recruiter I know it's not your area but it will give you an idea of what sites to search and keywords to use that may help you. I do honestly hope this helps you, Tammy
