I had an interview for a Payroll Specialist position on Friday, October 12 and this morning when I logged into the company’s portal, I saw that my status had changed from “applied’ to ‘under consideration’. I was planning to send them a ‘Thank You’ email tomorrow to reaffirm my interest in the position but since they’re already considering me maybe I shouldn’t send the email after all? Please advise.
Don't. It's high-stress, poor training, blame shifting, awful. They will preach teamwork over and over, but throw you under the bus at the first chance. The per person workload is insane, and when you are uneducated on a subject, they make it your fault. My experience there was far from pleasant or enjoyable.

Can someone please be specific as to what is the next paydate for Amazon. I understand that it is every other Friday, just not which Friday that is. So please what was the last date or the next date you will be paid on if you work for Amazon?
I am in my fifties also lost my job in May 2017 due to the fact the company I worked for was doing illegal things which end up with the company going out of business, I have been looking and it is hard due to my age I have a lot of experience in payroll, AP/AR, customer service, cashiering etc.
I loved working there for about 4 years but the last 2 years were terrible started having payroll issues checks would bounce and sometimes you had to wait to cash your checks
