When I worked at the same company as my husband (now ex-husband). We had moved to another town because he had gotten promoted to store manager and they transferred me to the same store. Since we were married and he was the boss then we had decided that if I had any questions or needed help with something that I would go to the Assistant Manager and she would take care of it. That wasn’t a problem at all, it worked out great. Move along a few…

I lost my job Feb 20th because my client passed away. I have never been without a job. I live paycheck to paycheck. Every minute I have has been spent job seeking. I turned down one that would have required me to move. I turned down another one because the compute to and from took an hour and a half each way. It wasn't the miles but the highway traffic. I can't see out of my left eye and don't want another accident. So for now I took a gas…

Mary this is a test of your will please don't give up God has a break through plan for you. I will pray for you and your family…

Employed after 1yr wait...

So glad I didn't give up.
Finally, after moving to a new state 2,000miles from the previous one, I got hired in a good fit position. Although I went through an agency, it happened so fast to my surprise & the team I work for is very cohesive.
The journey was very VERY hard while battling homelessness & sadness along with my husband. It was such a culture shock as a result of moving and a challenge, but made it through it all.
Keep hope alive…

I'm having a dilemma.

For years I've worked temp service. In doing so, I've gained lots of experience, but no long term or permanent position. I had to do temps because I had a daughter who was born with heart disease, and many employers weren't receptive to my having take off to care for her. So, I made up in my mind that it would convenient to work temp than permanent. That way I wouldn't have to worry about being fired. Well, I lost my lost to her struggle with…

I have been looking for a job for about the past 3 years, and I finally found one that fits my schedule. I have a special needs child, and need to work things around his schedule. It is part time, but I am so glad I found it. I start in a week, and I am so excited. It is only 8-12 hrs. a week, but perfect for me now, and could possibly turn into something later. Anyway, don't lose hope if you are still looking. Everything happens for a reason…

What can I say? Let's celebrate Rachel! She found the right fit!

That is great to hear that it is working out for you. Usually the stories are posted of struggles. Nice to hear a success story…

Looking for a new hire?

Great news found a job took time, no it was not my resume. It's the amount of applicants some jobs have hundreds.

I am so sorry that you lost your wife. One thought: do you have friends or family in managerial positions or in HR? If so, ask…

Lois Martin I found out something it's not the resume but the amount of applicants for a job. Also some postings should be taken…

Need some advice

Hi everyone, I'd like some neutral advice. I'm sort of at a crossroads right now and figuring out which way to go. I feel it's time after sacrificing all these years to do what will make me happy for a change.
My family supports me (everyone in the household but me is unemployed right now, so where I go, they go. :) The big issue is I have an elderly mom who refuses to be mobile. She depends on me to get around and does not get out otherwise…

I think you may know what the right answer is for you, but maybe you're looking for some confirmation that you're doing the right…
