After 14 months off unemployment I'm delighted to share the news with my fellow Job-caser's that I've finally found a job. I'm not sure if it's the right fit and time will tell but the benefits and pay are pretty good but as we all know, that's doesn't make for a great job. I will continue to be be a frequent contributor encouraging all within earshot (or eyesight in this case) that all is not lost and there's hope for gainful employment out…

congratulations !!

GET HIRED: Information You Need for Your Job Search

I took the time to gather a series of resources for people on the job search. This will be a long read. If you are serious about finding a new job, this post is for you. For readability, it will be broken up into three parts of the job search - prepping for the job search, the job search, and the interview/hiring process. Feel free to follow the Jobcasers linked within - they are awesome people with great advice who can help you!

Thank you for the information!

What Does Memorial Day Mean To You?

Memorial Day is a day full of remembering our loved ones whom we lost who have served - friends, family, fathers, sons, mothers, daughters, brothers & sisters - and on this day, we honor each and every person who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I asked some of us here at Jobcase to share what Memorial Day means to them. Here’s what they said:

Ashley: “To me, Memorial Day is a day for admiration towards those that made the ultimate sacrifice for…

It's about Results! (rule #2 for profiles and resumes)

I've been browsing through a lot of Jobcase profiles this morning - particularly ones of folks in the community that are finding difficulty in achieving the next job they desire. There's a trend sticking out to me that is a large mistake most people make. An easy one to correct. And a very impactful one after you do correct it.

Ready for the insight - here it is...effort doesn't get rewarded - RESULTS DO. Of course I know its hard to get…

Am here ready to work and I love working because I can't sit a day without working

Thank A Nurse This Week for National Nurse’s Week!

Nurses everywhere deserve gratitude for the work they undertake to care for their patients. Their job is often tough and thankless but is absolutely necessary to healing those in need of medical attention.

You or someone you know may have benefitted from the life-saving work nurses do, so if you encounter a nurse this week, make sure to let them know that their efforts are appreciated!

I'm glad to read encouragement from jobcase because two of my siblings stayed putting me down when I was out of work for short time and belittling me because I was needing help when I was out of work and didn't have any where to stay and I had to move back home with my mother until I found work. But thank God I'm back working and able to provide for myself with God help. I thank jobcase with people like you all for reading all of your praise…

Congratulations and may God Bless You in the future. I will keep you in my prayers.

Go Hilary Go!

Hey Jobcasers - I wanted to share with you that one of the leaders here in Boston that works tirelessly to serve our Jobcase community everyday took that same drive and energy to run the Boston Marathon today. Hilary always finishes among the top leaders in the Marathon (she was invited to Olympic trials a couple years ago!) and today was no exception. Amazing race, where she powered through difficult weather to triumph. Join me in…
