Like many, I have been in the unfortunate situation of abruptly finding myself without a job. I don't mind telling you, in the moment, it's a completely demoralizing experience. When this did happen to me, there were a few steps I took so I could move forward productively:
1) I was gracious -- I thanked my employer for the opportunity and offered to expedited any needed transition. Why was I so nice? I don't believe in burning bridges... see more
She was working at Toys R Us for like 5 years as a stocker so she was pretty sad when it closed. We all take job security for granted until it's gone. She applied to Target, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, even Mc Donalds but ended up getting a job at Amazon with pretty good pay too. She starts soon and I am excited for her. Don't ever give up!!! Good things are coming for you.

Good Insights I found helpful, hopefully you will as well. ....... :)
Most of us were taught as kids that getting other people's approval is extremely important. I still remember how ashamed I was to get hauled to the front of the classroom for some infraction in first grade.
I wanted to be invisible in the back row.
As adults we still believe that making people happy is important -- especially people in positions of authority! We try as hard... see more
If you’ve recently been let go from a job it can make you feel angry, confused, and unsure of what to do next. You may have seen the term
at-will thrown around and you aren't even quite sure what that is. Let’s take a look!
• What does “at-will” mean? If you work for a company and you are considered an “at-will” employee, this means you can be dismissed by an employer for any reason without having to establish
just cause for termination and... see more
Yes, you. I know how you're feeling right now, because it's the same way I've felt. Lost, frustrated, maybe even a little desperate. But no matter what negative emotions are threatening to swallow you up, KEEP PUSHING FORWARD. God will take you to where you need to go. Just meet him halfway and put in that hard work. Never give up, because I'm not giving up on you!
Someone shared this to my FB page this morning and I wanted to send it out to all my fellow Jobcasers. I loved it. Don't give up....take this as a sign to give yourself that little extra push that you need. #YOUgotthis
I've had 5 job interviews last week. Today I got rejected from two. One in particular, I was incredibly excited for. It took every ounce of my strength not to cry when I read the rejection letter. So what did I do? I went and got a cookie with a friend. I signed up to volunteer at a local animal shelter (because puppies could cheer ANY one up right?). I started my prep for the 6th interview I have coming up. I reflected and realized that the... see more
For the past year, I've had awesome interviews that led to me getting hired. Unfortunately it also led me to have to quit just as quick. In job descriptions they describe days and times needed to fill the position (nothing out of the norm) then in the interview I ask again if those are truly the exact days and times and they claim it is. Then my first day on the job I'm told a COMPLETELY different schedule that is so far off that I can't work it... see more
Hi everyone, wishing you all great things.
I have been reading some posts and responded to just a few. You know I really did not nat to share this but based on so many negative and seemingly hopeless posts about work and life I had to say something that was positive and more uplifting.
Before anyone gets out their daggers to attack me. I am 56 years old. I am no threat to you. Please relax.
But I do want to talk to you from my heart to your... see more
