Hate freelance work sites.

I wish I could find a job that is not on one of these idiotic freelance work sites. I have never had any luck with them. Yet that seems to be the only places to get jobs I am even qualified for. In my experience lot of the jobs are bids to the bottom. As in lowest bidder gets the job. That means no work for me. As they go to people who live in areas with low cost of living. #Frustrating. #freelance #gigs #art #artist #contentwriting

When Choosing An Employer, Culture Matters

When determining whether an employer is the right fit for you, it is important to find out about its culture. Companies are as different as the people who work there and run the business. For better and worse, culture and leadership are inextricably linked. Founders and influential leaders often set the initial culture of their organizations. Over time an organization’s leaders can also shape culture…

Got a full time freelance job!

So after 13 months of unemployment and applying to over 2000 applications, I finally got myself a freelance job at a publishing agency so I will be designing book covers for authors! The best part is, it’s a remote job so I can work at home!

In addition, I may get hired from a full time on site designer job next week as my first interview went well and now I have to see the owner.

God does wonders! I returned to Jesus in January of this year…

Freelance Artist thinking about giving up.

I've been drawing, painting, and even picked up digital sketching. Art has been my life as long as I can remember. I love it so much and this runs in my family. I've always dreamed of becoming a comicbook/webcomic artist. But after working at other places and positions that had nothing to do with it... I just feel like giving up this dream and just stick to a 9-5 :( I don't want to.. but it's just the way it is.

Though, I still desperately still…

I know someone who was working as a project coordinator, but his job was contract and company let him go within one month. So, whatever happens, is fare with him or not?

Ask him.

Giving up

My name is Rachelle, I study graphic design, and I graduated College 2 years ago had two internships and not yet a serious job. It is such a competitive field, and I love Graphic design I love designing and making people happy. I recreate my profile so many times. Sometimes I do some freelance, but I don't have a vast audience. It is very depressing because of im 26 years old, and I still do retail and doing some freelance on the side. I want…

Freelancing study... whadayathink of it?

Heres an interesting quick read on a recent study on freelancing. I am curious of your thoughts.

The part that sticks out to me (based on so many Jobcasers experiences we see) is this sentence; ..42% of freelancers agree that freelancing gives them the flexibility they need because they are unable to work for a traditional employer because of personal circumstances..

So what do you think about this study and article? On target? Off base…

This is quite interesting! I tried freelancing for a time after leaving college. I can say there definitely is a learning curve…

Looking for Freelance Graphic Design work

I got the unfortunate news of being laid-off from my management job as a result of lack of work available. Right before the holidays to top it off. The company I was working for is on the verge and has laid off over half it's staff. The company was under 20 employees when I first started and now it's dwindling down. Of course, anyone who was cross-trained was safe and considered valuable. I was not cross-trained enough to give them comfort that I…

Have you tried Angel.co or Freelancer.com Janelle Tarnopolski ? They often have a lot of gig jobs for design work.
