Don't Let Life Disappointments Discourage You

Hi everyone!!

Food for thought for Life:
I feel in today’s world, man or woman is a success who has lived well; laughed often; and loved much; who has gained the respect of people that count and the love of their children; who has filled his or her niche and accomplished his or her task in life; who leaves the world a little better place than he or she found it.

Never Lie In an Job Interview

As we all know, job interviews are intensely stressful occasions. If you REALLY want the job, the stakes are also incredibly high and you might feel a slight mistake could cost you the chance at landing the job. Given the pressure, some people are tempted to fudge their accomplishments and background a bit. They figure if adding a few years of experience that they'll triumph over other candidates, and what the interviewer doesn't know won't hurt…

Interview question about previous job

What are some great reasons to give as to why you left or leaving your previous job? I always feel my answers are not up to par for the interviewer. Even when filling out an application I can't seem to come up with a great answer as to why I am leaving or left the job. Any clever ideas are welcome.

I always tell them what really happened so they like or not just be honest

Having Faith During Hard Times

Hello fellow Jobcasers! I have recently posted some questions regarding unemployment to our community and I have encountered a barrage of mixed replies. Many have been positive and sincere, and many have been downright rude and degrading. I was raised on the Southside of Chicago, and my religion has molded me into the man I am today. I was always told that my faith in God will lead me on the path that was written for me. Lately, I have noticed…

Waste of time

Went for an interview this morning. Online the job was posted for a full time position. Once i arrived for the interview and started talking to the hiring manager, she informed me that she and the director changed the position to part time. Crazy isn't it!!!? No heads up or nothing. You may qualify for a Grant, look into it. I worked in the health insurance industry and our BSN's were generously compensated.

Frustrated

I have put in so many applications. I feel that I am well qualified for all. I think sometimes my name hurts me because no one can pronounce it. The H is silent but people just struggle with it so bad. Maybe I’m just being paranoid. Lord you’d think I could get one call.

Today I went to a job fair for the first time. Finally I got to talk to people who actually are hiring and felt like I connected…

Depressed

I'm an 18 year old girl with a disabled mom and two younger brothers. So of course that means its time to go out and get a job. Its so devastating when you put out applications and attend many interviews and still no luck. I'm not sure if its something I'm doing wrong but why is this so hard? Gosh we definitely need another income and it doesn't seem like employers care about that. I'm not going to give up though.
