Just started here

I started working part-time for Dollar Tree to make a little extra money and I have to say it's a good job. Most annoying part? When people ask how much things are in the store. I just try to be polite and help them, but I guess it's a little funny that some people don't know that everything at Dollar Tree is in fact A dollar.

Awesome glad you like your job

Should I ask for a raise?

I hope this doesn't seem insensitive because I know most of you are searching for work. Believe me, I was in your shoes not so long ago and I remember the agony and heartache but I need opinions. I can't post to Facebook because I broke my own rules about not friending people at work. So...

I will start by saying that I really love the company I work for and my job, though it was not without some problems early on. I was hired for a position…

What I learned

Working in fast food actually taught me a lot about customer service, patience, and time management. People look down on working in fast food, but why? I learned a lot from working at Burger King that I never expected to. It was a good experience for me.

No one should look down on any job. It is a honest living and people have to feed their family.

Not working Now

I wish I was working now because I really loved working. My last 2 jobs were at 2 different Fred Meyer locations. I really enjoyed working with public. I worked in the deli at poth stores.
At the second store I was in the deli for little bit, then transfered to the bakery. I really love the bakery. I learned so much in my time there.
There was one customer that came in everyday to buy a donut. We talked a little bit each time and he always told…

Wow, it sounds like that was a good work experience for you. How long did you work in the deli there?

What is stopping you from…

Let Go

I was a Field Service Technician for 31 years ... had the same customers and worked on same equipment for those 31 years. Over time the ownership of the business changed hands several times and the name of the business changed at least three times - but always had same customers. The next to last ownership change we of course had to keep track of our travel and labor times. During times of not working on equipment was called courtesy time…

Drama at #kibokoenterprisesltdkampalauganda

I had to apologize to the customer though it wasn't me on behalf of our company and the former colleague whom they changed to another route.

Drama at #MinistryofHealthandHi-TechMedicallaboratory

A customer got hungry because his blood test result was delayed

I think that #MinistryofHealthandHi-TechMedicallaboratory should continue to

Paitient/client interactions are my number one moments. Providing satisfying services to them (e.g.) getting back their laboratory results on time helping my depress PLHIV or homosexual paitents to access their health-care without discrimination or any form of abuse ( verbal ect)

What I like about working here

I have learned how to become a pretty damn good cashier at Walgreens and it has also made me very good with money. The hardest part of my job was tilts, which is basically restocking, but you learn quick. Most of all I enjoy interacting with customers because they almost always make me feel good.

That was a hard part for me too when I was a cashier but it gets easier don't worry.

Never thought I’d be a sales guy

I’ve been working retail for a while mostly cashier but decided to branch out a bit and applied to best buy pt and ended up getting it after a phone screen and interview. I knew someone who worked there and they seemed to like it so I thought what the heck I’ll try it. Most times my favorite part of cashiering was the chatting with customers so I got pretty good pretty quick and it’s not like I’m bad at customers but I always thought of sales as…

That is so cool Marcus Gardner ! Sales is such a lucrative and rewarding profession. Hope you continue to do well and that this is…
