Credit Check

So I had a second interview today for a job that I really want. They are going to do a background check as well as a credit check. I’m not worried about the background check I’m clean. However my credit needs work. Can that prevent me from getting the job?

Hi Amanda Fisher ! It really depends on the job. Some will scrutinize your credit score more closely than others. I honestly don't…

Get it in Writing.

You got the job offer, you are so excited. But did you really get the job offer?

Companies that are on the up and up will always, not sometimes but always do the following:
Send you a job offer, and what is included in that letter is Critical;. Keep that letter, make copies. Hopefully, you will not need to point anything out that is not being done.

Job offers can vary but they should at a minimum have the following information.

Start date…

Well, it sounds like the first guy was talking complete bullshit and the 2nd guy -- almost humanely -- let him know they weren’t going to be hiring any convicted felons anytime soon. That is their right. And depending on the business? BANK, RETAIL, TRANSPORTATION, HEALTH CARE? All open them up to MASSIVE LIABILITY and if they’re not OK w/ the fact that he has to OWN his…

I am working in a data entry position right now and has been since July 2018 and I have the best boss EVER, but the pay isn't…

G W Actually a number of Data Entry jobs involve the handling of customers' financial and other personal information so it IS…

Are Credit Reports Determining Whether We're Hired?

Why do credit reports determine whether an applicant is hired or not? Yes, I'm in financial hardship. I'm broke, I have part time employment, but I'm not a criminal or an otherwise dishonest person because of it. I co-signed on a car for my ex-husband to help him out, now his car I helped him purchase, is my liability; a business venture failed. and breast cancer directly followed. Financial hardship should not deter me from employment. And…

Sherri Tyrrell You raise some excellent questions and concerns. Perhaps this article will give you some insights: https://www.ner

Is it common for employees to complete a credit check and if so what exactly are they looking for?

Credit check for job

I really don't think it's fair that my credit score should play a part in determining whether I qualify for a job. Does anyone Ever ask what might have happened to cause my score. . If I have the qualifications to do the job and have the history to back it up, what gives?
