Msimbo means “code” in Swahili. A twenty (20) week program for displaced, unemployed, and underemployed workers interested in becoming computer programmers. Age-ism can be rampant in the workplace. Usually subtle and invisible. Sometimes overt (I know first hand on multiple occasions in the past year alone). It can hit us all at some point. As research comes to bear this ‘ism’ too shall recede. Little by little- we’ll get there.
