Getting injured on the job. And being fired for it
A most stressful day at papa johns would be ..being slammed calls back to back online orders coming in constantly ..or having bad weather and all lights going out and causing orders to be behind..or truck days unloading or making sure all is in stock like should be in store.. or making sure that when the head of store comes in all is up to date and not failing the inspection and all requirements are met..
So a while back some old college friends and I met up and hung out for the first time in a few years. We ended up getting hungry and ordered some Papa John’s pizza. There was about 12 of us and the total was somewhere around $50.. We all ended up throwing in 10 bucks each and just gave it to the guy when he got here. I guess he was going through some rough times. He came back recently and told us how much the that tip meant to him. It really shows you how some things that aren’t a big deal to you can be a huge deal to someone else!
I loved the fact I could actually move up in a position and make a difference in the work place

So recently I was told that I'm being looked at as a new manager. Now this all sounds great considering I'm a driver right now making minimum wage which is like $8.50 an hour. Plus tips which on a normal day is around $45-50. Now as a manager I'd be making $12 an hour working a potential 40 hours a week. Right now I have just under 35 and last week I worked 52 hours. My income monthly is around $1600 but I dont want to stay a driver for long cause its putting wear and tear on my car, plus I'm filling up on gas twice a week. Which is about $25 - 50 depending on how much I drive. As a manager I'd be losing a bit of income but I'd be gaining health insurance. Should I continue to go for management or should I stay as a driver?
Thanks for having me I’m new to jobcase.. So a little backstory I got in a car accident about a month ago so my car has been on its last legs for awhile so I’ve been trying to save up a bunch of money to get a new one. Well last night it was around 10pm I was out for a delivery run and this one customer had about a 50$ order. He gave me a 100 and told me to keep the change!! It may not seem like alot to some people but it made my night and I couldn’t stop thanking him. All before him customers weren’t really giving any tips which is okay but he made a bad night so much better with for me.. So Josh if you’re out there thanks again and I’ll make sure you get your Papa John’s food ASAP from now on!
not having anything prepped, fellow employees not showing up on time or at all .
So I hired at the local Papa John’s and i was told to expect an email telling me where to go for training? Like I guess it’s not on site it’s at a different location for all the nearby franchises. I never got the email though I checked in my spam folders and everything so I’m a bit lost on what to do since I don’t know where to go. I called the store where I got hired from but no one is picking up.. What do I do??
I had an awesome boss and great coworkers so it was never a stressful environment
