I came across this podcast that hit close to home. I worked in a lot of different service industry positions before getting my start in the corporate world. It actually all started from one of my regulars at the bar I tended who was working at a consulting firm and thought I'd be a good fit for a Research position. Fast forward 5 years and I've built a nice career for myself and a home here at Jobcase where I get to hire engineers that enable... see more

I'm always amazed by the enduring power and inspiration that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s words had on those around him. His legacy of strength is the epitome of civic responsibility and engagement. As we approach MLK Day, I wanted to take some time to reflect...

DO NOT work there in any department. The managers is not helpful and the Human Resources don't have a clue of what people need or want they don't sit in the office and if you asked them a question the answer that I was told I'm to busy. The supervisors go to meetings and just tell about the bad never anything good they all lie and try to make it sound so good. its run like your in the service if I wanted to join I would have.

I'm so sorry you had that experience, Bonnie! How did you cope with it?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone on here has an opportunity for me. I recently graduated with a degree in business marketing and have not had any luck. I would appreciate if anyone on here knows or has an opportunity for an entry level marketing position (or it can be an administrative role) within the NJ and NY area. I appreciate all the help!!

I began my tenure as an Executive Vice President of a non- profit association in downtown Sacramento in 1998. Over time we purposely downsized the office until most of the staff was working offsite, typically at home. I had a fully functional office at home as early as 2002 and had a more formal office extension added to my home in late 2007.

I coped with stress in several ways. I frequently cleared my head and re-charged myself by getting... see more

Well, I loved working with the NYCPD, I feel that I learn a lot especially some laws (mostly one’s I would not break). I feel you have to see the Police Officers as regular people who has the nerve and proudly to do a job that has to protect all kind of people (you have to remember that they’re people too). I feel that as soon as they put on that uniform they have to become someone else and unfortunately some officers (male or female) take their... see more

I have a round of face-to-face interviews on December 4th for a Clinical Trial Associate position (basically, it's an administrative role for clinical trial/projects). The first segment is a presentation to a group of 8-10 people. I'm really nervous about this, as I have never had to do a presentation before. I have assisted managers+ prepare their presentations, but I have never had to give one myself.

I am feeling really anxious about this.

Right now working as medical documentation specialist

I worked in an office for 35 years with no retail experience. I retired at age 58 and couldn't spent my IRA/401K money until I turned 59 1/2. I earned retail experience and how to be a cashier. And that's why I'll always be grateful.

We were in office and a disgruntled taxpayer came in for information. His business was assessed for Excise Tax for over one Million dollars and he was advised by the Excise officer to come to the office and make arrangements to pay. He was upset because the business was not operating for the period assessed. I advised him to object to the assessment, since he was not satisfied, as it was his right to do so. He submitted his objection and the... see more
