Did you do your Homework?

Everyone one of us wants/needs to stand out when we get a coveted in-person interview.

Homework: Use Google to do some basic research. What exactly does the company do, what is there product? Where are they Headquartered at? How many employees? How many different locations do they have? And often you can find out has any of their jobs already been outsourced out of the country, or even to other companies. What are their short and long…

Update Office Skills at 63 yrs old or is it a waste?

I have not been able to get a full time job in 9 months. I had 4 - 8 wk assignments with temp agencies. The last 2 months I have not even an interview. Should I go back to school to get Microsoft or Quick-books certification? It will take one year and clean out my savings. What are recruiters…

Previous Case Manager- Looking for Receptionist/File Clerk Position in New York

I have had a rough year. I have over 15 years in case management but the stress of the job caused high blood pressure and numerous headaches etc.......... I revamped my resume. I understand that I would be expected to make less money but my health is more important. I was wondering if anyone can assist. I apply on Indeed and other platforms with no luck.

Advice for changing careers

Any advice for a 45yo male looking to get out of the light industrial field and into an office setting?
Very comfortable with computers to the point where I can build my own from the ground up with fair keyboard skills. 10 key is a little rough, but thats mainly because I never have had much need to build it up.

Been doing warehousing for so long that it seems to be the only thing people see in me anymore, rather than my office skills.

After reading the response's they are telling you to get back to school.
