Had an interview earlier today at Macy’s.. Ended up being really cool and I was hired on the spot! I spoke to one of the managers and asked about my previous work and experiences and while I didn’t have a lot I was able to use volunteer experience as an example and she loved it so it went well. Very happy and can’t wait to get started in two weeks and start making money again! If you’re still looking don’t give up and put your best foot forward…

I have been thinking about working with my friend who is a manager at Macy's. She said they will likely hire me if I apply because I have a lot of good cashier experience. Is it a good idea to have my friend be my boss though? Should I take the job? I really want to, but I am nervous. I love Macy's and it would be nice to have a different work environment.
My baby sister works for Macy's and likes the company a lot but she has had some issues with one of her managers. She constantly screams at her. It's pretty embarrassing. I gave her some advice, but it doesn't seem to be working. I told her to sit down with the woman and have a heart to heart. She is nervous she will get fired. Anyone know how I can help my sister??

I'm a new recruit on this website. There is a Macy's in my little cowboy town of Redding, CA. I only see government workers, or high income men in the store here.
I have considered applying, but wonder how the work is for entry level employees. What positions do they usually fill?
