I have heard over and over again that it is illegal to demand that a person give their age when applying for a position, and I would like to know once and for all what the truth is on that subject. If it is illegal to ask someone how old they are (birth date, etc.) then why is it a part of every application and hiring process??? I am 39 years old and have already started experiencing what I believe to be discrimination based on age. Please does... see more

The place was a joke!!! Both from a compensation point of view, as well as the job in itself

Mediations are about resolutions not the law and its wonderful to see people resolve their own conflicts. They walk away empowered to use the skills they have learned to avoid conflicts in the future. People are much more creative and generous in solutions that they participate in and more willing to pay fines and payments than fines imposed by the court.

Sounds like you played a big part in helping people resolve conflicts. I would add that to your resume for sure!

I was laid off in 2016 after sixteen years service as a graphic designer. I have been a GD for 30+ years working with many programs. I completed AAS degree in Web Design at end of 2018. I have been searching for work as graphic designer for 9 months. After many job offers to sell insurance, I finally got an interview with a printing company for a GD position. Nailed interview, got job & agreed on pay rate (no other benefits). First week I was... see more

My time with Warden Security Associates has been a short time. The experience has been good. The Site Manager and Shift Supervisor have been excellent to work with. The contracted site is a very nice facility. The general feeling is very good. The company is experiencing a high turn-over rate. I don't think it is a reflection of the company, just simply people do not want to work and follow procedures.

The assignments on the site are good... see more

Yesterday I found out that the company that I've been working for a little over a year now, has been cheating me, here and there, on my checks. You ask how... Well, I haven't received a single checkstub the entire time I've worked for them... And Yes, I have been nagging them and they say They've been sending them.. I've even made sure they had the right address multiple times but nothing. So yesterday, I finally went down to the office and got... see more

So I just finished getting loaded and I looked at my GPS routing before pulling out and it was showing the shortest route to a near by state route. I didn’t blindly follow the gps but rather pulled up the road on Google and scrolled through the street view to make sure that there wasn’t any signs showing that it was restricted or weight restrictions. No sings showing so I proceeded down the road. I came to an intersection one block from the state... see more

I'm looking for any advice on what to tell new employers when I'm moving on from a supervisor who wasn't happy with me. Here's my story: I have had 4 different jobs and usually had excellent annual reviews from past supervisors. However, my most recent supervisor was a nightmare. She didn't make expectations clear and I didn't receive proper training, but then my supervisor started micromanaging everything and nothing was ever good enough for her... see more
