Getting this off my chest!! Stressing!!

I just need to get this off my chest!! I have a felony and a misdemeanor on my record. They are 9 years old, DUI and Drug Possession ( pain killers).
I just got a offer on a good job, I told them about my background before they offered me the job. I always tell future employers about my background at the interview. I would rather tell them face to face so I can explain. Then if they aren't gonna hire me I will already know.
I don't have to play…

Im glad you were honest up front and applaud you for it. Your past is behind you and focus on fixing that typo. Perhaps its a…

Should I ask for a raise?

I hope this doesn't seem insensitive because I know most of you are searching for work. Believe me, I was in your shoes not so long ago and I remember the agony and heartache but I need opinions. I can't post to Facebook because I broke my own rules about not friending people at work. So...

I will start by saying that I really love the company I work for and my job, though it was not without some problems early on. I was hired for a position…

It's hard to say it could go either way. I wouldn't get stressed over it God will make a way out of no way. If you are for some…

Better job offer, more money.... Or stay where i am?

I recently started a new job in my field which is cooking. Well a few week's ago a friend asked if I'd come in and help her out on my day's off because they needed another cook. I worked 1 day and management approaches me & offers me $4.00 more an hour to quit my job. I though about it & had decided that I was going to take it,I mean who could pass up an extra 4.00 an hour? So I gave my notice and explained why I was leaving hoping that they'd…

What’s really going on?

Why can’t I find a job? What’s happening? I’ve had at least 4 interviews with one company and 3 with another, but no job offer. Why? I was so close the manager went of the job schedule, I was sure this was it? Then, nothing ... just nothing! I can’t take it anymore!

I dont get it. I got rejected again. They loved my passion but no offer. What am I doing wrong?
I am acclaimed in my field. Just turned 50. 2 degrees. Working on my Masters. All my roles were progressively upward. Am I being blackballed? I remain prayerful.

Don't give up hope,Mel. Check in with your campus career coordinator to see if they can help you get some leads. Your still in…

Hello my fellow Jobcasers

I saw a post about an offer being retracted. I did some research and I saw that link. I decided to post it because that can happen to any of us. Information helps with Prevention.

What would you do if a job offer came in much lower than the salary originally listed?

A - Accept the Job Offer anyway!
B - Accept the Job Offer ONLY if you can re-negotiate up to the original salary.
C - Accept the Job Offer because you’re confident to get promotion within a year.
D - Decline the Job Offer!

I would try to neogociate the salary back up, GOOD LUCK with that. Have to declined the job and that it what they want.

I got denied permanent

I work temp at my job for 9 months got offered permanent and went through the background and drug screen. I got the results and the welcome letter stating my results were favorable. Two days later they called me in and fired me, stating I failed my drug screen. Yet I have the results... everything was negative. When I asked why they resulted negative and sent me my new hire paperwork they said .because they were hoping it was negative! I have…

Some things on your UDS are supposed to positive; all negative could indicate a false test meaning synthetic/fake urine was used.

Don’t know what to do!

So I have two jobs that I’ve been going into for interviews for the past couple weeks bc I’ve been out of a job for a while and these two places both seem interested in me, but what do I do if they both want to hire me at the same time. After all the time do I just let one of them down? What if the better paying one calls after to offer me a job? Is it ok to accept a job and then quit right after bc of the time crunch?

I don’t think that it’s a problem anymore. I had an interview with the boss and when she found out I was a Christian her face…
