Private caregiving

Hi everyone! I have recently been considering venturing out on my own and working directly with family members! I know so some pros and cons and some of what to watch for but my question is... How do I find a family in need of an experienced caregiver that wants to deal with only caregivers and not insurance companies and HHC facilities?

Uncommon Tips for Fantastic Job Fair Success

Relax... It can be easy to psych yourself out before a job fair. You’ll be much better off if you take a few minutes to collect yourself, get the lay of the land, and stay calm.

Get in a Rhythm... Start with companies low on your priority list. This will give you a chance to practice your pitch, Q&A, and thought process. Once you’ve got a good interview rhythm, then it’s time to hit the big leagues.

Become Unforgettable... Put all the...

Get a PIP, start packing your bags!

I have been a Pharmacist for 34 years. I recently was terminated because they said I failed by performance improvement program. This was a witch hunt by a company to get rid of an older worker. I fulfilled by job requirements and always have. I had a new supervisor who was brought in as a head hunter. She was firing Pharmacist left and right and bringing in younger Pharmacist from her former company. All I can say is laugh now, I will...

My advice to people interested in working at #InHomecare as a #Caregiver ...

I have been doing this type of work for over 20 years, whether it was the hospital, nursing home, Privately in their home, going from home to home, you have to prepare yourself, some days might be good for your patient, some days might be bad for your patient, but as long as you have patience, you can make it. This type of work isn't for everyone, I enjoy it.

I have worked in a hospital before as a facility support technician helping the charge nurse in emergency, ICU, and NICU settings. Any suggestions would...

Open-ended contract?

So after months of searching for a new job, I was finally offered a position with a major pharmaceutical company. Now when I was offered this position, I was told it would be for only three weeks. Then I had to wait while my background check and drug screen was processed. This took a few days longer than expected, so instead of starting last week I will be starting on the 21st. When I asked about the duration of the contract, I was told,...
