I need help, please.

Like many others, I can't find a job. The bills are piling up, my husband has dementia and Parkinson's and I'm his sole caretaker. I can't collect unemployment because they consider me a transient worker ( I hopped from one assignment to another). So what's the next step? Do I qualify for State benefits? Where do I find info on that? Who do I ask? I've been sending resumes, filling out job applications,etc. I'm at a loss and I feel like crying…

Current resume trends

I have been doing career coaching for many years. Just finished creating a 4 part series for people at my company that are being impacted by an acquisition and will be in the job market soon. There are a lot of resume trends people are not aware of:
1. DO Not put more than 10-15 years of work experience if you have it.
2. DO NOT put the year you graduated from any school...college or high school.

I am at my wits end.

What do you do when the only jobs in your area are retail and they won't touch you with a 10 foot pole because you are not an extrovert? Its getting frustrating. Only jobs are the retail jobs and thats it. I don't have an option to move to a different area with other job options.
