Seriously - A bachelors degree for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator?

I live in the Michigan area - I hold 2 associates degrees and have over 30 years experience. Robert Half etal - cannot sell my experience to their clients that require a bachelors degree - go figure - guess I'll have to move.... Anyway - I saw an ad for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator position requiring a bachelors degree - what gives - a low on the totem poll position with that education? Should I just give up like the others or what?

Hi Rita, I'm sorry to hear about the news. 16 years at one company is definitely an impressive feat. Click on the link below and see if any of the jobs line up well with what you are looking for. There are a number of different focuses, so not everything will be the same. http://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search?q=accounting&l=orlando%2C+fl&r=25&group=company&sources%5B%5D=ALL Good luck! -Mark

Paula Pincombe Accounts Receivable

I was wondering if the position of Accounts Receivable Processor is still available? The reason why I ask is applied on 5-5-16 and did not hear anything as of 5-26-16. I gave 20+ years of Accounts Receivables and Cash Applications in my background. When will a decision be made? Please email me at snowdancr9@yahoo.com. Thank you

Hello Paula, I would recommend following up on your application by stopping by in person or calling, if you have their phone number. This is always great to do 1-2 days after you submit your application to make sure it was received, and then again 1 week later to see if you are being considered for the position.

Best of luck!

Need help

Hi everyone. I am really struggling finding a full time job. I was at my previous job for almost 18 yrs I was laid off. That's what they told me.i was making good money. Being that I don't have an accounting degree. I found out they hired 1 person to do AP @ AR. I have 20 years experience as a AR Clerk and B2B Collections. They gave me my 4 weeks paid vacation and unemployed for 6 month. I got pretty luck because right when my unemployment went away. I got hired I was so happy. My boss was nice but she thought i wasn't the right fit. I was there for 90 days. She kept telling my that she didn't trust me and refused to train me on what the job entailed. All I did all day was releasing orders. I don't know what happened. I did make 2 mistakes but I was new and they did talk to me about it. I'm very confused my last day was Dec 5th 2018. I was shocked. She said. She didn't think I was a good fit and my filing was still not mastered. I didn't say anything and left. Im thinking to myself I was there for 90. I was always asking and taking notes. Maybe she didn't like me. That's crazy.. Well anyways I am doing what I can to put food on my table. I am doing odd jobs here and there like baby sitting and I'm trying schipt. Its better than nothing. I want to do what I am good at. I stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning to apply for jobs in all the web sites because they up load them at midnight. I am really frustrated I thought I was going to retire at my last job. I want to work but no one is giving me a chance. I just get calls from recruiters with lots of broken promises. I am going to take a excel class next month for free at the library because I only know basics. I am not picky I don't care what kind of company. Even working from home would be great. I am willing to work for 18 hr. I don't know what else to do. I'm running out of options. Because I collected uneployment last year they said I can probably apply next month because it will be a year I don't know if I collect unemployed from a job that I was only for 90 days. I don't have health insurance. I'm trying to get Medicare and nothing. I live in Illinois my zip is 60089. If there is anyone out there that can help get me a job I would really appreciate it. I'm tired of living like this. I pray every day that my time will come soon. Thanks for reading this Lisa
