Got good news about my Application

Have applied to job posting at a large distribution center (not Amazon). Next day was called to take a test the following day on Saturday. Test was making sure you can tell if numbers were different out of 150 examples . Time 6 minutes. Called back only those people who passed. Scheduled my interview on this Thursday the16th. Position is in the Receiving/Stocking dept Full time can be weekends. There are 3 shifts available multiple positions. Hoping to get told to start work after the Interview and take the pre employment drug testing.

There are some better jobs opening up here.

We all have our fingers crossed that a 2nd stimulus package gets passed Sharon. There's a big emphasis to get the 2nd stimulus passed before the $600 boost ends this month.

The Senate in recess until mid July so we should here more specific information once they come back on or about July 20.

We're publishing regular updates on the Jobcase Unemployment Resource Center. You can refer to this center for the latest and greatest news on the 2nd stimulus payout. We're Hopeful... but let's see what happens when the senate returns from the break.

If you are over the age of 50, most companies ignore your resume all together and don't give you an opportunity to even interview. When hiring an older employee there is more stability but companies would rather hire a millennial when they'll probably leave within 2 years. Older worker have a stronger work ethic and are able to mentor younger employees to develop their skills and abilities. Even working as a contractor where experience is a key factor and pay rate is not normally an issue, younger candidates are chosen over older candidates. The factor that has not been addressed is that the Human Resources Department is the main reason older applicants are consider for many position. Resumes are not read they are systemically scanned for key words and never get to the hiring manager for review.
