I was going through that a little while ago. I lost my job after 14 years. I've never been without a job since I was 15. Been working full time since I've been 18. I had a working interview 30 days after I was laid off. That messed up my unemployment. I went to court and fought it. I got it back, I ended up getting a part time job and since my last job was kind of a high paying job I was able to collect partial unemployment. Then my job closed up for the summer so when I filed my two week unemployment I put down no earnings. Well, that screwed it up AGAIN! I got a email saying that my file was not complete and a representative from the UE office will get in touch with me. Two weeks went by and nothing! No call, nothing in the mail. The email even told me not to call them. Well I did! I called for three days I kept hitting redial over and over again. I finally got through and was on hold for an hour and a half. It took the lady on the other end to fix the problem in ten minutes. Its a pain in the butt, but do what I did! Just keep calling , if it takes a thousand times to call, just do it!!!! You paid into that money! You're entitled to it. I know I am. I've been paying into unemployment for over 30 years!

Please Be Aware of Paul Gant

He is posting for Car Wraps, please read this? Have you seen ads promising easy money if you shrink-wrap your car — with ads for brands like Monster Energy, Red Bull, or Pepsi? The “company” behind the ads says all you have to do is deposit a check, use part of it to pay a specified shrink-wrap vendor, and drive around like you normally would. But don’t jump onto the bandwagon. It’s only easy money for the scammer who placed the ads.

How you spot the “offer” You might see an ad on a job board or on social media. Or someone might send you a message — maybe because they saw your profile or resume on a job site.

How the scam works The message says you’ll make a couple hundred bucks. But when the “company” sends you a check, it’s for much more than that — a couple thousand dollars. They tell you to deposit the check, keep part of it as your share, and wire the rest to another company that will wrap your car.

Weeks after you wire the money, the check bounces and your bank tells you it was a fake. The money you kept as “your share” disappears, and the money you wired is long gone — no getting it back. On top of that, you’re on the hook for paying your bank back for the fake check. And, of course, no one’s wrapping your car.

How you can tell it’s a scam If you get a message urging you to deposit a check and wire money back, it’s a scam. Every time. No matter the story. And if this were a legitimate car wrap opportunity, wouldn’t the company directly pay the car-wrapping vendor, instead of asking you to do it?

Has this happened to you? File a complaint at ftc.gov/complaint — select Scams and Rip-offs, then Counterfeit Checks. Want to know more? Read our articles to learn how to spot variations on fake checks and money wiring scams.

#MyThoughts

Why is it people feel they need to take advantage of others? We all are given the same tools to succeed, yet they are always a few who try to cheat the system? We are a community who tries to better each other. Sharing advice, jobs and support. Yet a few rotten apples try to steal the pot. Is it really worth taking advantage of people who are dealing with job loss? PersonL issues or just trying to find job. They come to the community for advice, support or guidance on bettering their life. I enjoy reading post of people who obtained a job, built a resume, or ask a question? Helping has always been a part of my life and I am a firm believer in if you do it from the heart it comes back ten fold. A person who helps another and brags about it receives their reward right now? I prefer to wait for the rewards in my afterlife. That’s just me. To read a person got a job, or something worked to better one’s life. That is the best reward in itself. To the people who try to scam, I do not hold onto the past, start today by changing your ways. If you need help ask? This community offers many people who deeply care and willing to help you land a honest job. All you have to do is ask for help? Have you ever thought about what it cost to obtain the assistance people in this community offer? Trust me it is not cheap, yet people are willing to assist you with finding an honest job? Start by building your resume, ask questions? Let the community help you and watch the rewards of the talents this community offers! #workfromhome #interview #coronavirus #hiringevents #healthcare #deliverydriver #jobsearch #ridesharedriver #foodservices #application

You have described what it is to be humane. I love to donate and give gifts of knowledge anonymously,it's much more satisfying. The scammers think they have found an easy way to make money,no regard for their fellow man or woman or child. They don't realize that they are digging a hole that they may not get out of unless the helping hand from those they scammed is extended(and we do). Thanks Ford

The toughest part about landing a job right now is...

My age seems to play an intergral part in my employment. I'm retired as of January 31st of this year. I have 53 years in the work industry. I'm very experienced in multi jobs and I could be an assest to a company. I'm still able to work. #parttime
