These 5 growing jobs want you to apply
Jump to section

This may surprise you but demand for employees is on the rise. As the number of workers declines, many employers are seeking out entry-level employees in healthcare, manufacturing, agribusiness, and construction industries. To attract workers, employers are also increasing pay-rates so they can fill these vacancies. In general, these jobs pay well, are frequently above the national median salary, and many experience annual pay raises.

Most promising about the list below is that all of these occupations have been marked as “Bright Outlook” jobs. This means they are projected to grow faster than the average employment increase (7% or more), and are anticipated to have over 100,000 job openings in the next decade.

Using the most recent report from May 2019 from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a division of the Department of Labor, we’ve rounded up the top 5 occupations that require limited preparation, and added their median salary range, job function and required/suggested skills to apply.
