2. Search for the job you want
Once you complete the Spectrum Fit Finder, you can start searching for open positions. Alternatively, you can skip straight to this step without taking the Fit Finder assessment.
Search jobs using keywords and locations on the Spectrum Jobs website. Or, you can select a category, state, and city without entering a keyword.
Finally, you can also choose from one of the drop-down options on the Launch Your Career section of the website.
Selecting one of these options will send you to relevant job openings for your interests. For example, if you select “Tell stories or create content,” you’ll see open jobs in:
Content development
Digital
Marketing
News
Creative
Editorial
Media
Production
If you’re not sure what jobs to look for, some suitable entry-level positions for people who have little to no experience include:

3. Prepare your resume
Found a job you want to apply for? Prepare and optimize your resume first.

Whenever you want to see the status of your job application, you can log into the Spectrum Candidate Profile to verify what’s going on.
The candidate profile page outlines all submitted applications. You can also use your profile to set up job searches and alerts.
For each submitted application, you’ll be able to see when it’s under review, if you’ve got an interview lined up, or even if a decision has been made.
6. Complete an assessment if required
Some positions require additional assessments before Spectrum can review your application. You’ll find these assessments under the Candidate Zone drop-down.
Some assessments will be available as soon as you complete your application, which means you should log into your profile immediately. However, some assessments will only become available later.
Make it a habit to log into your profile every day. You can set aside a few minutes in the morning to review what’s happening with your applications and verify whether you need to complete a new assessment.
You can also use this time to verify if any new job openings are available based on your alerts and preferences.
7. Get ready for your interview
Get ready to answer questions about yourself before you attend your interview. You should be able to explain your previous contributions and also where you see yourself in the future.
Ask your recruiter ahead of time if you’re not sure about what to wear to the interview. By taking this precaution, you can ensure you have appropriate attire.
Give a friendly greeting when you meet the interviewer for the first time. Watch your posture and maintain eye contact during the entire interview.
If you’re attending a video interview, make sure to pick a quiet spot with a solid Internet connection and an appropriate background.

8. Send a follow-up note
